(Long Island, NY) Suffolk County Police are investigating a motor vehicle crash that seriously injured an Oakdale man on Friday, April 4.
Daniel Farkas, 51, was driving a 2007 Lincoln SUV westbound on Montauk Highway in Oakdale when his vehicle crossed over into the eastbound lane, west of Lincoln Drive, and struck a tree and then a building that houses Clark’s Farmstand.

Farkas was extricated from the vehicle by members of the West Sayville Fire Department and he was transported via Community Ambulance Company of Sayville to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore. He is listed in serious condition.
Police are investigating the possibility that wet road conditions may have contributed to the cause of the crash. The vehicle was impounded for a safety check.
