News: Boy’s Killer Interviewed in Prison
(Long Island, N.Y.) The thirty-five-year-old who admitted to the killing of an eight-year-old boy from Borough Park, Brooklyn was interviewed during his stay at Rikers Island. He is currently under suicide watch at the facility and has claimed to the press that it hurts too much to think about the murder. When asked if he wanted to apologize for his gruesome actions, he allegedly turned away and refused to comment.
According to sources, he later indicated that he did want to apologize but did not communicate verbally upon request. He had been dressed in a gray jumpsuit and appeared disheveled. In addition to his wrinkled attire, he sported a hospital bracelet and seemed lethargic.
Reports stated that the interview was conducted for about an hour’s time and that the suspected killer had been blinking with watery eyes. The blinking appeared to be almost uncontrollable and he had referred to the brutal slaying as “the incident.” When questioned about what he did and why he did it, he responded by claiming that he didn’t know and remembered “little things.”
Most of what the suspected murderer stated was vague, and he didn’t choose to go into further detail after responding to questions. He didn’t choose to explain why he opted to take the lost child and kept him overnight before the murder. He did, however, claim that the boy appeared familiar and that he believed that he had met him before.
Reports stated that the alleged killer seemed to be embarrassed and ashamed when questioned about his fatal violence towards the helpless child. He maintained that the eight-year-old had spent the night in a separate room from his bedroom, wishing to desperately get that point across. He also stated that he tried to get the boy to join him at the wedding.
The thirty-five-year-old suspected murderer then claimed that the boy refused the invitation and that he was left alone in the car with the windows down. It’s possible that the boy could have been saved, had he been spotted at the wedding by one of the guests. Perhaps bystanders could have detected the odd pairing of the deranged adult and the frightened boy.
Once again the alleged killer claimed that he has sometimes heard voices but refused to go into further detail about what the voices sound like or what they tell him to do. Nonetheless, reports claimed that he spoke conventionally about everyday issues and only grew uncomfortable when questioned about the killing.
Sources also claimed that the suspected killer is only permitted to leave his cell to shower and hasn’t spoken to members of his family since his arrest. He had been taken into police custody for the killing roughly a month ago. Reports stated that he stays in bed and sometimes wishes he never met his eight-year-old victim.
