* Memorial Day Weekend Festival
• When: May 21 through May 25
•Where: behind the Tri-County Flea Market in Levittown
•What: carnival rides and games. Insider tip: half-price wristbands can be purchased in advance at Astoria Federal Bank branches, at Levittown Lanes Bowling Alleys and at Fatty Malone’s Bar in Levittown

* Bethpage Federal Credit Union Air Show
•When: May 23 and May 24
•Where: Jones Beach
•What: Civilian and military air performances. Headlining this year will be the United States Air Force Thunderbirds and new to the show will be the Canadian Air Force Snowbirds. A representative from the Long Island State Parks Department added there would be food and merchandise vendors and displays, and that the best fields to park at are Fields 4 and 5.
