(Long Island, NY) The dazzling days of summer are now coming to an end at The East End. It has been just about the most divine summer here in the glamorous Hamptons. This past month has been busy with special events including the Jaguar and Hogan’s “Drive Gorgeous” event. This fabulous event displayed the very finest in Jaguar motorcars on a Hamptons afternoon. The event consisted of celebrity guest drivers discovering clandestine locations and secret estates not published on maps for charming gathering with other hosts of this high profile notable occurrence. This elegant occasion presented the most fashionable car of the year the 2007 Jaguar XK.
Celebrity guest that participated in the event were: Allison Sarofim, Andrew Saffir and Daniel Benedict, Candy Pratts and Chuck Price, Dave Lieberman, Nacho Figueras and Delfina Blaquier, Fabian Basabe, Hayley and Jason Binn, Jonathan Farkas, Justin Bartha, Kelly Bensimon, Kelly Klein, Luigi Tadini, Lydia Hearst, Martina Basabe, Patrick McMullan, Stella Schnabel, Thalía, Thom Filicia, and Tommy Mottola.
Another important event was the fundraiser for Ligaly, Long Island Gay & Lesbian Youth. The foundation began in 1993 and has established services for gay, lesbian and transgender youth and their families battling against discrimination. The history of Ligaly began when two individual students and several youngsters began to provide education to local surrounding schools about the issues of growing up gay and enlisted several support groups around Long Island communities. Award winning playwright Terrence McNally was the Guest of honor and has been a long time supporter of the Organization. Congressman Steve Israel was also honored whose acceptance speech slammed the country’s “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” military policy excluding openly gay soldiers in their armed services.
President Michael Heitner, CEO Executive Director, Dr. David Kilmnich, Development Robert Vitelli, board member Andy Stern and all the wonderful young volunteers made this all possible as one the most elegant events of the summer. Sunday’s party raised funds for their “Safe Schools” program.

On Saturday August 26th Socialites Joan and George Hornig hosted the “Under the Tuscan Sun” at their elegant estate in Southampton to benefit the Bailey house, the nations first provider of supportive housing for those with HIV/AIDS. The royals held court in their designer ball gowns and expensive estate jewels at this magnificent elegant soiree. The event was hosted by Bruce T. Sloane and Rose Billings. It was a night of dancing under the stars to the music of DJ Karin Ward while you enjoyed delicious hor d’oeurves and a silent auction

AIDS Rescource Center was established in 1983 by a group of clergy, West Village business people and gay activists and was later renamed Bailey House in 1995.
The services and housing Bailey House provided allowed many early residents to take advantage of medical therapies. Their successful housing programs have ensured effective housing for people with AIDS throughout the world.
