News: Developments in Brooklyn Couple Shooting
(Long Island, N.Y.) Significant developments are to be announced today by a Morris County prosecutor concerning the tragic death of a twenty-seven-year-old wife and mother of two young boys. The young woman was walking down a street in Boonton, New Jersey with her twenty-six-year-old husband and three-year-old son when she was fatally shot by an unknown gunman. Her husband was also shot in the incident and her toddler remained unharmed.
Reports stated that the woman was shot near the heart and perished instantly. Some sources claimed that she sustained multiple bullet wounds. However, many reports have stated that her husband’s wounds were superficial and that his condition was stable after he was taken to a local hospital.
Further suspicions in the case began when police and authorities claimed that the husband’s statements were conflicting. Sources stated that investigators noticed the timing was always changing in the husband’s account of what happened on that tragic evening last Tuesday. Some information about the case painted the husband as a man who lied to his wife’s family about college degrees and income from a contracting business.
The business is called Riyaan Developers and is advertised as a full-service construction and design firm that displays impressive suburban homes on its website. However, records indicated that the business was run from his Flatbush home and Boston apartment. The twenty-six-year-old husband was also implicated when reports stated that his wife lived in fear and found him abusive.
It was also said that he had not been faithful to his wife and was likely involved in an affair. A text message sent by the deceased to her older brother read that she believed he’d find her dead one day and that her husband was behind it. The message goes on to instruct her brother to save the text because he may need it.
Her funeral is being held this afternoon at the Islamic center, and so far there have been no known arrests. Sources claimed that a Boston police report showed that her husband had been arrested on assault charges. It had been filed six months ago when a twenty-year-old woman, claiming to be his girlfriend, said that he slapped and pushed her.
Those charges were dropped when the woman failed to appear in court. Many followers of the case have speculated about a possible business deal gone sour between the husband and one of his associates. It has also been suspected that the husband may have been involved in a love triangle.
