(Long Island, N.Y.) Gran Jubilee Restaurant provides a tasty Latin experience! Spanish food true to the mix, flavors, freshness and spice of Dominican cuisine in an atmosphere that provides an ambiance of Latin America with Spanish music and decor of the region of the Dominican Republic.
Upon entering the restaurant the unusual decor captivates patrons immediately reminding one of a hut straight out of the Dominican Republic complete with thatched “roof,” “campo” motif, country, bamboo, straw, wood look and straight-backed chairs.
Odds are you’re going to walk out of Gran Jubilee pleasantly satisfied. A well-executed mojito or caipirinha from this reasonably priced Latin spot should do you quite nicely. In choosing the appropriate meal it is hard to make a mistake on the Dominican and international menu. Everything is flavorful, fresh, and from the heart of the land.
When loyal and new patrons walk in they leave the United States behind as they enter the Spanish inhabitants of the Dominican Republic. Even the most distinguished palates will experience tastes they have never before savored when they decide to eat here at Gran Jubilee in Elmhurst, Queens. The Spanish dishes are terrific and the food is so mouth-watering that it practically melts in one’s mouth. Gran Jubilee brings good food to a whole other level for the typical diner. This is a wonderful restaurant where one can go for almost any meal they want and expect in return some of the best entrees they’ve ever had. Only the best is served to the many satisfied diners and anybody who loves an International and Latin food menu will enjoy their meal at Gran Jubilee Restaurant.
On their existing menu a signature dish includes mofongo (mashed plantains) with chicken, superbly created, this dish is presented inside the pilon (mortar and pestle) as the original farmers in the Dominican farm fields ate it. Other favorites include goat in a Cajun sauce and seafood in a pumpkin. Flavorings on both magnificent dishes are delicious with generous portions. Another classic dish is the churrasco which comes with Argentine style chimichurri sauce, rice and beans.
Executive Chef Nelson Rodriguez prepared several dishes for my film crew including the newly invented fresh shrimp, parsley, garlic sautéed with fresh potatoes, some vegetables delicately light and exquisitely satisfying.
“Baseball Players Alex Rodriguez, Pedro Martinez and even President Barack Obama have enjoyed dinner here,” confessed Owner and creator Domingo Tavarez.
After dinner guests can enjoy the rhythms of the night at their downstairs speakeasy nightclub. Jubilee brings the hottest live acts and has the best DJs spinning Spanish beats. Kriss on Fridays is a beast! A heavy hitter from La Mega, DJ Lobo appears and entertains on Saturday whose specialty is reggaeton and merengue. The best part of this Spanish hot spot is that the Latin ladies are luscious.
The restaurant is conveniently located from Long Island and Manhattan just one block away from LaGuardia Airport and is located at 23-04 94th Street East Elmhurst.

When other youngster were shopping at the mall, going to see the latest film flick, or attending parties, Kristy began training her vocals. She started singing, acting and learning her craft at a local non-profit theatre organization.
By the time she was ten years old she began performing in local musical productions such as; “The Wizard of Oz”, “Once on this Island” and “Grease.” She also performed in the musicals “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat”, “Pippin” and “Children of Eden” at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts.
