The East Hampton Art Exhibit celebrates the beauty of Accabonac Harbor show which was held at Ashawagh Hall, Springs on Friday, September 1st through Monday, September 4th. A portion of the sales from the exhibit was donated to The Nature Conservancy. This exhibition reflected a growing relationship between conservation groups and plain-air artists. The work of plain-air artists promotes awareness and an appreciation of the natural beauty and fragility of the landscape, and ties in to the mission of The Nature Conservancy to conserve, protect and restore our last great places. Another fantastic event was Bedell Cellars in Cutchogue showcasing their new outdoor pavilion. The open air tasting room located adjacent to the indoor tasting room features a breathtaking view of the vineyard. Featuring an extra long tasting bar, the new pavilion more than doubles the bar space available for wine tasters. Bedell hosted the final tasting of the music and wine on Saturday September 9th. There was also an art opening and reception at Karin Sanders Fine Art to honor artist Richard Bruce. Many of his extraordinary pieces of artwork have local roots as landscapes and seascapes. His paintings are wonderfully detailed varying strong textures on canvas
