This four piece sculpture was first unveiled during its installation at the United Nations’ Dag Hammerskjold Plaza in 2008, where it remained until 2009. Then “Horsing Around with the Arrows of Time” was displayed at the Pearl Street Triangle in Dumbo, Brooklyn until 2010 and has permanently been installed as an iconic symbol of joy, hope, future, and a celebration of all that is possible on the grounds of The Children’s Museum of the East End (CMEE) since 2014, to the delight of all who visit. The mission of CMEE is, “To spark imagination and foster learning for children of all backgrounds and abilities and to build strong connections within the East End community by providing playful experiences.”

An active member of the artistic community of DUMBO, Brooklyn, Ms. Kupencow spends weekends throughout the year in her Southampton studio and is thrilled to have the opportunity to share the details of the creation of “Horsing Around with the Arrows of Time” with both the children of the CMEE and their parents. Her most recent Manhattan exhibition was the highly successful and heralded solo show at the Anderson Contemporary Gallery in lower Manhattan in April, after her previous equally successful and internationally acclaimed solo show at the Galerie Pananti in Florence, Italy. Other Kupencow sculptures can be viewed on the East End at the LongHouse Preserve gardens in East Hampton, the Romany Kramoris Gallery in Sag Harbor, and theWhite Room Gallery in Bridgehampton. Six of her “Fun Seetz” sculptures are permanently installed at a pedestrian plaza on Old Fulton Street in DUMBO, Brooklyn. Several of her sculptures remain on display at the Anderson Contemporary Gallery.
