(Long Island, NY) Adventureland’s Helping Hands Foundation’s 1st Christmas in July came to an end on Sunday, July 31st. The landmark family amusement park decked the halls with thousands of lights, sang carols with the Uniondale High School Show Choir and got a visit from the man with all the toys, Santa Claus, all to support their nonprofit’s goal to collect 500 toys.
With the help of Cox Media’s 102.3 WBAB and 106.1BLI and partners like Rhode Island Novelty and Kohl’s, over 1,000 toys will be donated to Stony Brook Children’s Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island.
Adventureland and the Helping Hands Foundation thank you for your support and look forward to continuing Christmas in July for many years to come!
The foundation is kicking off its annual School Supply Drive today August 1st–every item donated goes to Milton L. Olive Elementary in Wyandanch and Long Island Head Start locations and earns you a free ride on the new Formula 1 Bumper Cars.
