(Kew Gardens, NY) With roughly 12 restaurant owners offering free samples to passersby, Queens Restaurant Week 2013 will kick off in front of Queens Borough Hall on Monday, Sept. 23, at noon. In addition to various photo opportunities, members of the media will have the opportunity to interview eatery owners, event sponsors and event organizers…and enjoy lunch.
More than 100 local restaurants — spread out over about 30 neighborhoods — will participate in this tenth annual promotion. To take place from Sept. 30 to Oct. 3 and Oct. 7 to Oct. 10, most eateries will offer three-course, prix fixe meals for $28, but specials might vary between establishments. Lunch specials will be $14.
